Mangaluru, Oct 10, 2019: Administrative Service is a challenging job, but nothing is really tough when there is diligence and great leadership qualities. Sindhu B Rupesh who recently took charge as Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district, is one such officer of calibre for whom the call of duty is above everything else.
That she is the second woman to be appointed to the top post in the district is also something to cheer about. An IAS officer of the 2011 batch, Sindhu was the 17th rank holder in the civil services examination at the national level and topper from Karnataka.
Hailing from Mysuru, Sindhu studied at Rotary West School and Sadvidya Composite Pre-University College in Mysuru. She later pursued BE in Electronics and Communications from National Institute of Engineering, Mysuru and came out in flying colours with a distinction and first rank. Her first posting was at Tiptur in Tumakuru district where she served as Assistant Commissioner. She later served as Assistant Secretary in the Finance and Budget Department. Sindhu was serving as CEO of Udupi ZP before being transferred to Dakshina Kannada.
