Mangaluru: Slain Muslim youths’ kin seek compensation, jobs

Mangaluru, May 31, 2023: After Chief Minister Siddaramaiah reinstated Praveen Nettaru’s wife Nuthana Kumari in her job after she was terminated, the family members of slain Muslim youths in Dakshina Kannada demanded proper compensation and employment.
The Muslim youths were murdered due to communal enmity, and the previous BJP government discriminated against their families by not providing them with compensation.
The family members requested equal justice and employment opportunities from the government, just like Praveen Nettaru’s wife received.
Masood, Mohammed Fazil, and Abdul Jaleel were murdered last year in separate incidents. Fazil’s mother and Fazil’s father, Umar Farook, expressed their disappointment with the lack of support and justice for their family. They emphasized the need for equal compensation and justice for all.
