Container truck gets stuck under Modankap railway bridge

Bantwal, Jan 7, 2024: A container truck found itself wedged beneath the Modankap railway bridge on the B C Road-Polali road on Saturday. The lower part of the overbridge is equipped with an iron girder to protect against potential damage from the passage of heavy vehicles. Unfortunately, the upper portion of the truck became entangled with this protective structure. Fortunately, the presence of two nearby roads prevented any major disruptions to the flow of traffic.

The truck, transporting chemical barrels from Bengaluru to Mangaluru, had followed Google Maps directions, leading it onto the inner road. Responding promptly to the incident, the Bantwal traffic police, with the aid of a crane, successfully freed the trapped truck from its predicament.
