Between August 11 and 22, ₹73,00,000 was transferred from the branch to the accounts of five customers. The scam came to light after SBI’s Mumbai branch sought clarification and the concerned finance company confirmed it had not requested such transfers.

Police allege the accused colluded to siphon funds for personal use, committing breach of trust and fraud against the bank.
