Commercial LPG prices hiked by Rs 195.5; second increase amid West Asia conflict

New Delhi, Apr 1, 2026: Commercial LPG prices were raised by Rs 195.50 on Wednesday following a sharp rise in global oil prices triggered by the ongoing West Asia conflict.

A 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder now costs Rs 2,078.50 in Delhi, according to state-run oil companies. This marks the second hike since the conflict began on February 28, after an earlier increase of Rs 114.50 per cylinder on March 1.

Commercial LPG Price Hiked

In Bengaluru, the price of a commercial cylinder has gone up to Rs 2,161.

However, domestic LPG prices remain unchanged. The last revision saw a Rs 60 hike for a 14.2-kg cylinder on March 7.

State-owned oil firms — Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum — revise LPG and ATF prices on the first of every month based on global benchmarks and currency fluctuations.

Global oil prices have surged nearly 50% since the conflict began, disrupting energy supply chains. Meanwhile, petrol and diesel prices continue to remain steady following a Rs 2 per litre cut in March last year. Currently, petrol is priced at Rs 94.72 per litre and diesel at Rs 87.62 per litre in Delhi.
