Bantwal, May 27, 2023: A police team from Bantwal has arrested a man who had attempted to murder a person and in the process chopped off his palm.
The arrested person is Shivaraj Kulal of Bantwal. He had attacked his acquaintance Santosh on May 21. The two had a quarrel over the issue of Santosh’s elder sister. An infuriated Shivaraj then tried to attack Santosh with a knife. When he was about to attack, Santosh tried to prevent by bringing his hand forward and his palm got chopped off. He was immediately rushed to the hospital.
The police who had launched a search for Shivaraj arrested him on Friday evening.
