Mangaluru, Apr 9, 2026: A young man is suspected to have jumped into the Gurupura river from a bridge on Wednesday evening.
The youth has been identified as Kowshik, a resident of Kaje Padavu.
Sources said he reached the bridge on his scooter around 6:45 pm, parked the vehicle, and then leapt into the river.
On receiving the alert, Bajpe police rushed to the spot and carried out a preliminary inquiry.
A search operation is currently underway to trace the youth, while the reason behind the incident remains unknown.
