Mangaluru: 3 female students who escaped from hostel traced in Chennai

Mangaluru, Sep 24, 2022: Three female students who had recently escaped from the hostel of a private college in Mangaluru have been traced at Chennai on Saturday, police said.

The girls, two from Bengaluru and another one from Chikkamagaluru had mysteriously escaped from their hostel at around 3.30 am on Wednesday after breaking the window grills.

The matter came to notice later and a complaint was lodged in Kankanady police station.

Police who learnt that the girls had travelled to Coimbatore by train had rushed to Coimbatore along with the parents of the girls. Even Chennai police were intimated. The girls were traced in Chennai while they were moving around suspiciously. The police there later took them to custody and sent them to Sweekara Centre. The girls are now being brought to Mangaluru.
