Karkala: Girl dies as saree swing gets entangled in neck

Karkala, May 27, 2023: A nine year old girl lost her life after the swing made of saree got entangled in her neck while playing at Kemmannu Anthottu in Nitte village on May 26, Friday.
The deceased girl is Maanvi, daughter of Lakshman Poojary. The incident occurred at around 4 pm when Maanvi along with her neighbor Deeksha was playing near the house of her uncle Udaya Poojary.
Though the girl was immediately rushed to the Nitte Community Health Centre, doctors there pronounced her dead.
Karkala Rural police have registered a case.
