Fake cosmetic items seized from two shops at Central Market

Mangalore, September 8: Bunder police have seized duplicate cosmetic items, of reputed brands, from two private shops at the Dubai Market, Near Central Market on Tuesday, September 7.

 

 

 

 

According to the Bunder police, they received complaints from Hindustan Lever, a leading cosmetic company regarding the sale of fake items in their brand’s name and later they raided those shops.

“We investigated on this matter; they are Shethan Singh Purohith and Arjun Desai, who have shops at the central Market. When we raided there, we recovered all the cosmetics items, which are not of Hindustan Lever Company and are local, but the brand printed on these products is of Hindustan lever. Most of the items are body lotions, Shampoo, deodorants, face powder, perfumes,” said Bunder police. Goods worth Rs 1.62 have been recovered from Pooja Cosmetics and Beauty World.

Cases have been charged against both the owners of shops under various provisions of law.
