Mangaluru, June 10, 2026: A young man was found dead under suspicious circumstances near Jokatte in Panambur on Wednesday, prompting suspicions of foul play.

The unidentified deceased is believed to be a native of North India. His body was discovered in a roadside drain near the small flyover on the MRPL–Surathkal road leading to Jokatte.

Residents reported bloodstains near the gate of a house located close to the spot where the body was found, raising suspicions that the youth may have been murdered and the body later dumped there.

Panambur police visited the scene and conducted a preliminary investigation. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and a case has been registered to ascertain the exact cause of death.
