Two Killed in Separate Train Accidents Near Manjeshwar Railway Station

Manjeshwar, June 10, 2026: Two persons lost their lives in separate train-hit incidents reported near the Manjeshwar Railway Station on Tuesday night.

The deceased have been identified as Umesh (39), a native of Mogral Puthur who was residing in Manjeshwar, and Manish (35) of Kirtheshwara, Manjeshwar.


Train Accidents Near Manjeshwar


According to police, Umesh’s body was found near the railway track at around 7 p.m. after he was reportedly struck by a train. In a separate incident, Manish’s body was discovered on the railway track at about 9 p.m.

The bodies have been shifted to the mortuary of the General Hospital in Kasaragod for further procedures.

Police from the Manjeshwar Police Station conducted inquests at the scene, registered cases, and have launched investigations into both incidents.
