Kasaragod: Anganwadi teacher found dead in cashew plantation

Kasaragod, Nov 6, 2026: The body of a 46-year-old Anganwadi teacher was found at a plantation belonging to the Cashew Development Corporation at Bengathadka in Adhur.
The deceased has been identified as Baby, a resident of Bengathadka.
Her body was found around 12 noon on Wednesday in the plantation near the Anganwadi centre. Preliminary suspicions suggest that she may have died after consuming poison.
Following information about the incident, Adhur police visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
The body was later shifted to Kasaragod General Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Adhur police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
