Mangalore, Mar 3, 2013: A special camp for special children named ‘Vishishtarigaagi Vishishta Mela -2013’ organized by Ashajyothi , a forum for  differently abled children and their parents, was organisd at the Canara High School (Main) grounds in the city on March 3, Sunday. Ashajyothi is a unit of Seva Bharathi.

 

C.G. Pinto, General Manager of Corporation Bank, who was the chief guest, lauded the organizers for their initiative in  holding the camp which was unique in its own way.

Shakuntala, Deputy Director of the Department of Women and Child Development, was the chief guest. P Suresh Nayak and MS Anjanadevi who have made noteworthy achievement despite their disabilities, were felicitated on the occasion.

B Srinivas Rao, President of Ashajyothi Vedike,   Giridhar Shetty, Owner of Sagar Reality Promotions and Dr Ali Kumble, Managing Director of Indiana Hospital, were present on the occasion.

A variety of programmes including sports contests, food festival and entertainment shows were organized. A free eye check up camp was also organised  in association with specialists from KMC.
