Mangalore, Oct 10: MLA U. T. Khader has said that the loadshedding implemented in the state from October 11 was an indicator of the fact that the power scenario in the state has gone from bad to worse.
He was speaking to reporters at the District Congress office in Mangalore on October 10, Monday.
Khader further stated that the state government should furnish details on electricity production along with details of capital invested for the same.
Stating that the BJP government has not released a single mega watt, he said that the government is giving excuses of inadequate coal supply to the Raichur Thermal Power Station (RTPS) because of the Telangana issue. Khader complained that the government ought to stock coal for emergencies.
He also demanded that the state government should release the white paper related to the budget.
Regarding LPG connection, he said that the state government’s latest online booking facility has been creating more problems, adding that bookings are not getting registered. He urged those concerned to first install the proper software.
