Mangalore: Gruesome Double Murder of Mother-Daughter

Mangalore, Jun 28: Mangalore, Jun 28: In a shocking incident, a young woman and her seven year old daughter were found brutally murdered this afternoon at Panjimogaru near Kavoor locality of the city.

Razia (32) and Zia Fathima (7), the victims, are believed to have been alone at home when the crime took place. Both were stabbed fatally by unidentified assailants and the attack is likely to have taken place around noon.

 

 

 

The incident came to light only when Razia’s husband Hameed returned home for lunch.  Razia is a house wife and Hameed is a scrap dealer. Though both mother and daughter were rushed to A.J. Hospital & Research Centre immediately, it was too late and they died due to the severe nature of their injuries.

Kavoor police are investigating the case under the directions of Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh and deputy commissioner of police Mutturaya, who personally visited the crime scene. More information on the case, such as the identity of the culprits and the motive for the crime are awaited following progress in the police investigations.
