According to police, Tiwari had posted a message on the website of a US-based intelligence agency, demanding payment in return for breaching the Prime Minister’s security.

Investigations revealed that his mobile phone contained multiple virtual private networks (VPNs) and applications used to access the dark web.

Police also recovered fake identity documents from his possession, which were allegedly used for cybercrimes.

During interrogation, Tiwari reportedly confessed to the act. Officials further stated that he had previously been involved in a case related to issuing threats to hack the Kolkata airport website.

He is currently being questioned by police and central agencies.
