Karkala: Man who went to buy ice cream for child, meets tragic end

Karkala, June 09, 2025: A man who had left home to get ice cream for his child on account of his birthday, died after his two-wheeler met with a mishap and fell into the river near the Parapu bridge in Kukkundur.
The deceased is c Salian (36), an autorickshaw driver by profession and the president of the Kukkundur village unit of BJP.
On Saturday night Subrahmanya was returning home at around 10.30 pm after purchasing ice cream when tragedy struck.
Family members searched for Subrahmanya the entire night and the body was found the next day.
Karkala town police have registered a case.
