Mangaluru, May 1, 2026: The Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) has announced that water supply across the city will be provided on alternate days starting May 4, following a sharp decline in water levels at the Thumbe Vented Dam on the Netravathi River.
MCC Commissioner Ravi Chandra Nayak said the decision to implement rationing was necessary to ensure sufficient water availability until the end of summer, as inflow into the dam has completely ceased.
