Kasaragod, May 1, 2026: An autorickshaw driver was killed in an accident involving a police jeep and an autorickshaw at Vellarikkundu in Kasaragod.
The deceased has been identified as Raju, a resident of Poongam Chala. An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in the police jeep sustained injuries in the incident.
The accident occurred around 7:30 pm on Thursday on a road near the Taluk office area, when the police jeep collided with the autorickshaw. The seriously injured driver was rushed to a hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
