Mangaluru, Feb 27, 2017: An autorickshaw driver and a student sustained injuries when the auto which was ferrying school children overturned after ramming into a shop at Thokkottu near Ullal on February 27, Monday morning.

The mishap occurred when the autorickshaw was passing through the Thokkottu over bridge. A brake-failure is said to be the cause of the mishap. The autorickshaw was reportedly carrying more children than the prescribed limits.

| Now the police are not very particular in checking the auto rickshaws and school vans. A week after the Trasi incident the police were checking the school vehicles regularly. Yeh mera India nothing is strict and compulsory. | |
