Husband forces wife into group sex, arrested

New Delhi, June 17, 2010: In a shocking case of marital crime, a south Delhi businessman has been arrested on charges of allegedly forcing his wife to have group sex with his family members and a business partner. The victim alleged that she was subjected to the ordeal for four years.

"My husband indulged in unnatural sex. My brother-in-law was a lecherous man. They forced me to have group sex," alleged the victim.

Her husband’s family had allegedly threatened to harm her nephew if she spoke out about it. The accused, Kuldeepak Arora, is an exporter and was arrested from Delhi’s IGI Airport.

According to sources, the woman met Kuldeepak in 2003 in London after seeing a matrimonial advertisement by the Aroras. She got married to Kuldeepak in Surat in April 2004.

The National Commission for Women meanwhile has asked the police to submit an action taken report within a week.

"My father-in-law used to keep eyeing me. The three had group sex also, they used to go to extremes," she complained.

This was Kuldeepak Arora’s second marriage, and according to the police, he had not even divorced his first wife. At the time of her marriage in 2004, Rs 60 lakhs were given as dowry, but she claims this was not enough for the in laws. She was beaten and abused. The sexual torture was not confined within the four walls of her house, a familybusiness partner, she alleges, also molested her.

"When I resisted his attempts, Saigal told me he will get me killed by a sharpshooter," she said.

The police have arrested her husband two months after the case was registered. After lookout notices were issued against him and his family, the family’s residences in Delhi and Mumbai were also raided. But other than Kuldeepak, no other arrests have been made.

A case of rape, attempt to murder, dowry harassment and criminal intimidation has been registered against eight people including Kuldeepak’s family and hisbusiness partner.

The FIR has been lodged under sections 498A (subjecting a married woman to cruelty), 307 (attempt to murder), 376 (rape), 377 (unnatural offences), 506(2) (criminal intimidation) and 114 (abetment of any offence) and sections 3 and 7 of the Dowry Act.
