Patna, June 14, 2026: Prince Anand, brother of popular Patna-based teacher Raushan Anand, died under suspicious circumstances in Nepal late Saturday night, family sources said. The incident comes while Raushan Anand, popularly known as Raushan Sir, remains in jail in connection with a recent vandalism case in Patna.
Prince, who was named as an accused in the vandalism case, had reportedly been staying in Nepal along with at least six friends. The circumstances surrounding his death are yet to be established. Family members have left for Nepal to bring back his body.

The development has drawn attention amid an ongoing rivalry between Raushan Sir’s Gyan Bindu GS Academy and Khan Global Studies, run by educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir. The feud between the two coaching institutes escalated earlier this month, culminating in incidents of vandalism and alleged firing at Khan Sir’s academy.
Following the unrest, Raushan Sir was arrested, while Khan Sir obtained interim relief from coercive action.
Prince had previously been accused in a 2021 attack on Khan Sir’s coaching centre, during which he allegedly entered a classroom and engaged in violence.
Over the years, Khan Sir has accused Raushan Sir of orchestrating attacks on his institute and staff. Raushan Sir, in turn, has alleged that Khan Sir was involved in a 2023 vandalism incident targeting his coaching centre.
According to reports, the latest clashes were linked to a dispute over claims of success in the Bihar Police recruitment examination. Both institutes had taken credit for the achievements of successful candidates, leading to tensions, poster-tearing incidents and clashes between supporters.
The rivalry is also rooted in a long-running dispute over operations at the Kisan Cold Storage campus in Patna’s Musallahpur area, where both coaching centres function.
Authorities in Nepal are investigating the circumstances surrounding Prince Anand’s death.
