New Delhi, Aug 1, 2026: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday demanded that the Centre allow consumers to choose between regular petrol and E20-blended fuel at petrol pumps. He also announced a march to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence on August 4 to submit petitions on the issue.

Speaking at a town hall-style meeting on E20 fuel at the Constitution Club of India, Kejriwal said he would collect petitions at noon on Monday before leading a march with around 100 people to the Prime Minister’s residence on Lok Kalyan Marg.

He urged the government to offer both E20 and pure petrol at fuel stations, reduce the price of E20-blended petrol, and bring down overall petrol prices.

Kejriwal also called on the Centre to make public the report it has cited to support its claim that E20 fuel does not damage vehicles.

"The Centre says studies have been conducted and E20 does not harm vehicles. I want them to share that report," he said.

The meeting was attended by people from various states, many of whom shared their experiences and expressed concerns about the impact of E20 fuel on their vehicles.
