Udupi, Jun 17, 2026: Comprehensive arrangements have been made for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination, scheduled to be held on June 21 (Sunday). The Udupi district administration has issued a detailed notification imposing strict prohibitory orders around all designated examination centres.
As part of enhanced security measures, restricted security zones have been established within a 200-metre radius of the six identified examination centres across the district. The restrictions will be in force on June 21, 2026, particularly during the examination hours from 2.00 pm to 5.15 pm, to ensure a fair and transparent examination process, according to an order issued by District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Swaroopa T.K.
To prevent examination malpractice, all photocopy (Xerox) shops, cyber centres, and bookstores located within the 200-metre radius of the examination centres have been directed to remain closed during the examination period.
Further, the gathering of five or more persons within the restricted zone has been prohibited. The use of loudspeakers and sound amplification devices has also been banned to maintain a peaceful atmosphere around the examination venues.
Candidates and unauthorised persons are prohibited from carrying mobile phones, tablets, Bluetooth devices, smartwatches, wallets, purses, calculators, loose papers, or any other electronic gadgets and personal belongings into the examination centres.
The restrictions will not apply to authorised examination officials, internal examination centre staff, or police personnel deployed on security duty. The Superintendent of Police has been instructed to deploy adequate police personnel and make necessary security arrangements at all examination centres.
