Kota, Jun 17, 2026: A case has been registered at the Kota Police Station after a 23-year-old woman was allegedly cheated of Rs 10.83 lakh by a man who promised to secure her a government job.

According to the complaint, Abhishek had assured S. Varsha (23), a resident of Airody village, that he would help her obtain a government job. Believing his claims, Varsha allegedly paid him a total of Rs 10,83,000 between October 31, 2025, and May 28, 2026.

However, the accused neither secured the promised government job nor returned the money he had received. It has also been alleged that when Varsha demanded the return of her money, Abhishek abused her using obscene language and threatened her with dire consequences.

Based on the complaint, the Kota Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation.
