Kadaba, Jun 15, 2026: An incident involving the illegal transportation of cattle came to light after a pickup vehicle overturned, following which a case was registered by the police.
The accused have been identified as Chandrashekhar and Mohan, both residents of Arakalgudu.
According to reports, two bulls were allegedly being transported illegally in the pickup vehicle on the night of June 13. The vehicle was proceeding towards Kulkunda when the driver reportedly applied the brakes suddenly at a curve, causing the vehicle to lose control and overturn.
It is learnt that the legs of the two bulls being transported in the pickup vehicle had been tied. Following the accident, the animals were untied and released.
A case has been registered at the Subrahmanya Police Station in connection with the incident. Earlier too, cases related to cattle theft in and around the premises of the Subrahmanya temple and mutt had been registered at the same police station.
