Vittla, Apr 16, 2026: A pillion rider was killed on the spot in a collision between a goods auto-rickshaw and a motorcycle at Kukkaje on April 16.
The deceased has been identified as Manish (23), a resident of Panjaje in Kukkaje. He was travelling on the bike with his friend Uday from Melkar towards Kukkaje when the accident occurred.
Manish was thrown onto the road due to the impact and suffered severe injuries, leading to his death at the scene. The rider, Uday, sustained minor injuries and is reported to be out of danger.
A case has been registered at Bantwal Traffic Police Station, and Traffic Sub-Inspector Adarsh visited the spot for inspection.
