Vishwasada Mane successful rehabilitates vagabond

Udupi, Jan 24, 2012  :Manjunath Kulal, a vagabond who was neglected by both public as well as family members, is one of the 100 people who have been rehabilitated by Vishwasada Mane of Shankerapura. When he appeared at a press conference on January 23 Monday, those who had seen him around Nittoor in September 2011 could hardly believe their eyes.

 

Kulal has transformed from a depressed individual with disheveled hair and beard, muttering to himself, and causing public nuisance to a smiling, well-groomed, happy, and healthy individual, completely cured of his psychological problems.

Kulal’s life changed when a journalist observed him and took his case to Pastor Sunil D’Souza of Vishwasada Mane. The pastor and his team brought him to the rehabilitation centre and took care of him. Within just 4 months, Kulal got back to normal and is leading a much better life.

Kulal of Kumbhashi Vakwady became depressed when his mother died. Differences of opinion with his brother worsened his situation and he left home for Bangalore. However, he does not remember how he returned to Udupi. Kulal now wants to continue serving at Vishwasada Mane, where he has been cooking for the inmates.

 

 

 

Kulal, who has five kids, plans to meet his family on January 24 Tuesday. He feels that, with the help of his new friends at Vishwasada Mane, he will be accepted by the family once again.

Speaking about Vishwasada Mane, Pastor Sunil D’Souza said that it has so far rehabilitated over 100 people not only from Karnataka, but also from other states. He states that the centre has no funds, but has become quite famous for his rehabilitation work.
