Ullal, December 9, 2025: Three persons have been arrested at the Kerala–Karnataka border in Talapady for allegedly selling MDMA drugs, and police have seized 42 grams of MDMA worth ₹2 lakh.
The Ullal police conducted the operation on Monday near Tachchani, close to Talapady, and arrested three accused who were involved in the illegal sale of MDMA. During the raid, police recovered 42 grams of MDMA valued at ₹2 lakh from their possession.
The arrested have been identified as Abdul Rawoof (30) of Kolangere, Talapady; Sharif alias Amin (34) of Chembugudde, near Thokkottu; and Niyaz (24) of Sankesh House, Kinya village, who had arrived to purchase the drug. Another accused, Salaam of Bengre, Panambur, managed to escape.
A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act, 1985 at the Ullal Police Station. Police have also seized a Toyota Glanza car, three mobile phones, ₹2,500 cash, a weighing scale, and zip-lock covers used in the drug trade.
