Subrahmanyeshwara. Aug 18, 2011 :A thief, who had stolen from the temple of Lord Kukke Subrahmanyeshwara in Subrahmanya, has returned the money he has stolen.
On Aug 16 Tuesday, the supervisor of the temple museum received two envelopes, which were sent by the thief, who had also included a letter stating that he is sorry for stealing from the temple and that he would like Lord Subrahmanya to punish him for his crime. He has also vowed that he will never steal again. He had placed 29 currency notes in these envelops. On Wednesday, the thief sent another letter with 12 more currency notes. The address is given as T. G. Raju, Kyatasandra, Tumkur.
These are rare and expensive currency notes, which were preserved at the temple museum. Last week, certain unknown persons had entered the museum through the back door and had stolen the currency notes. A case was also registered in the Subrahmanya Police Station.
The museum supervisor has presented the currency notes to H. M. Kali, the temple executive officer.
