Mangaluru, April 16, 2026: The Department of Business Administration at Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management is set to host Sahyadri Carnival 2026 on April 17, promising a vibrant showcase of student talent, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit.
The carnival will feature three major events — Sahyadri Whiz Quiz, Marketverse, and Student Corner — drawing participation from students across Karnataka.

The Sahyadri Whiz Quiz has already witnessed wide academic engagement, with preliminary rounds conducted in 40 colleges across regions such as Bhatkal, Brahmavara, Karwar, Coorg, Puttur, Sullia, and Bantwal. More than 4,000 students took part in the preliminaries, of whom 500 have been shortlisted for the grand finale to be held during the carnival. Winners of the quiz will receive cash prizes, including ₹25,000 for the first place, ₹15,000 for the second, and ₹10,000 for the third, along with consolation prizes of ₹4,000 each for three teams.
Marketverse will offer experiential learning opportunities with participation from around 15 reputed companies, including Kaveri Tata Motors, Renault, Ather, Polar Bear, Laziz Pizza, Bajaj, and KTM. MBA students will gain hands-on exposure to marketing, sales, and customer engagement by managing and operating stalls set up by these companies on campus.
Adding to the entrepreneurial focus, the Student Corner will feature 15 stalls managed by students from various colleges. These stalls will showcase a range of products such as food items, fashion accessories, handmade crafts, lifestyle goods, games, and creative merchandise. A competition will also be held to identify the stall generating the highest revenue.
The event will be inaugurated by Athmika Amin, Director of JV Group of Companies, as the chief guest, while Raksha P. Chilimbi, an alumna of the MBA batch 2020–22 and Audit Associate at KPMG GDC, will attend as the alumni guest.
Trustees Devadas Hegde and Jagannath Chowta, along with Principal Dr. S. S. Injaganeri, Vice Principal and Controller of Examinations Dr. Sudheer Shetty, and MBA Director Dr. Vishal Samartha, will be present on the occasion. Faculty coordinators, including Prof. Anirudh Bhat, Prof. Ramesh K. G., Prof. Varun C. S., and Prof. Monisha Shetty, will oversee the event.
The organisers have invited the public to be part of the carnival, which will feature food stalls, fashion and accessories, handmade products, games, entertainment, and innovative student-led ventures.
