SCDCC Bank to launch UPI, IMPS digital banking services on February 17

Mangaluru, Feb 17, 2026: The South Canara District Central Co-operative Bank (SCDCC Bank) has been providing customers with advanced technology-driven banking services. In line with this, the bank has adopted digital banking solutions to meet current customer needs, said SCDCC Bank President Dr M.N. Rajendra Kumar at a press conference today.

He stated that the official launch of digital banking services, including UPI and IMPS facilities for the bank’s customers, will be held on February 17 at 12 noon in the bank’s auditorium.

With the objective of further expanding its digital banking services, the bank had already introduced IMPS (Immediate Payment Service) from September 16, 2025. The bank is currently offering several digital services along with core banking, including RTGS/NEFT, CTS, SMS banking, ATM, mobile banking, and POS facilities.

The banking sector has undergone significant transformation in recent years, with digital services replacing traditional models. Today, most customers expect seamless access to their accounts through internet banking, mobile applications, and instant payment systems. Keeping this in view, the South Canara District Central Co-operative Bank has integrated digital banking services to meet present-day requirements.

IMPS (Immediate Payment Service), launched from September 16, 2025, enables customers to transfer funds instantly using the bank’s mobile application. IMPS is an instant interbank electronic fund transfer service developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). It operates 24x7, including weekends and public holidays. Through the Person-to-Account facility, customers can transfer money to any bank account using the account number and IFSC code, he added.
