Mangalore, Jan 30, 2014: St Aloysius College (Autonomous) organized a National Level Fest ‘Aloysian- 2014’ at the college campus on January 30, Thursday.
Speaking after inaugurating the event, N K Balakrishnan, General Manager (HRD) Central Office, Central Bank of India, said that in this competitive world, the students and their parents are just behind scoring marks. Though scoring marks it is important, students must also acquire knowledge, which will improve their personality.





He also said that every student must have a vision in life and the hardwork and experience will add strength to their personality. It is only 10 percent of knowledge gained from institution and 90 percent of experience and hard work gained from participating in extracurricular activities will help a student to reach to a greater height, he added.
Principal Fr Swebert D’Silva said that learning takes place not only inside the classroom but also outside the classroom. Aloysians are very innovative and creative. The institution has always given freedom to the students of the college to come up with innovation.
A total of 52 teams from all over the country participated in the three day national level fest.
Ponnanna N T, president of Student Council welcomed the gathering. Rashmi P, Joint Secretary of the Student Council proposed vote of thanks.
Registrar M Narahari, John D’Silva-Vice Principal, Prof John Sherra- Staff Coordinator of SAC, Prof Judith Pinto, Fr Andrade, Prof Lawrence Pinto, Rector St Aloysius Institution Fr Denzil Lobo and others were also present.
