The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), one of the organizations supporting the strike, requested the organizers not to hinder the distribution of milk. A KMF official said that the federation has also been affected by the hike in fuel prices and therefore it will support the hike. However, it requested the organizers of the bundh to permit its non participation in the strike. The KMF has also advised milk unions to be prepared for the strike and to make arrangements for additional supply of milk.

The autorickshaws and taxis in Mangalore will participate in the strike since the autorickshaw drivers’ unions have decided to support the strike. The Autorickshaw Drivers’ Organizations’ United Struggle Committee, will support the strike not only to protest against price hike, but also to demand increase in the minimum fare.  Government buses, including inter-state services, will be plying as usual.
