Karkala: Three killed, six injured in bus–tufan collision near Miyaru

Karkala, Jan 23, 2026: A horrific road accident claimed the lives of three people and left six others injured after a private bus collided with a Tufan vehicle near Miyaru Kambalakross on Friday afternoon.
According to reports, the private bus was travelling from Dharmasthala towards Karkala and was allegedly being driven at high speed when it rammed into the Tufan vehicle at the crossroad. The Tufan was heading from Karkala towards Belthangady.
The impact completely damaged the Tufan vehicle, seriously injuring the occupants. Of them, three succumbed to their injuries, while six others were injured.
Karkala city police have rushed to the spot and are conducting an investigation.
