Udupi, Mar 23, 2013 : KJP Publicity Committee President Dhananjaya Kumar has exuded confidence that the KJP would win good number of seats that are suffice to form the next government in the state on its own.
Speaking to reporters here on March 22, Friday, he said the party has already declared candidates for 67 constituencies and added the list of candidates for other constituencies will be finalized at the high level party meeting to be held from March 26 to 28.
Dhananjaya said he would not contest the elections, but would involve himself in party organizational activities.
On this occasion, Dhananjaya informed that Ashok Shetty of Kaup has been appointed as District President of KJP while Sanath will be the General Secretary. He said the KJP will contest all the five seats in Udupi districts.
He blamed senior BJP leader Ananthkumar for the recent defeat of BJP in ULB polls and added the internal dissidence in the party has come to the fore with the appointment of a new BJP chief for the state. “I feel sad for former CM DV Sadananda Gowda who aspired to become the state BJP chief,” the KJP leader said.
Even the Congress is not free from dissidence and leaders are involved in pulling each other’s legs with an eye on the CM’s post, Dhananjaya said.
The KJP leader further made it crystal clear that neither he nor his party chief Yeddyurappa would go to the BJP yet again and said he was optimistic that more leaders would join the KJP.
