New Delhi, Oct 8, 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday hailed the courage and commitment of Indian Air Force personnel, saying the nation is proud of its air warriors and salutes their dedication to protecting the country’s skies.
In a message marking Indian Air Force Day, observed on October 8 to commemorate the establishment of the force, Modi said the IAF has demonstrated its ability to challenge adversaries not only through advanced weaponry but also through data and drones.
“India is proud of our Air Warriors. On Air Force Day, we salute their courage and commitment to protect our skies,” Modi said in a post on X.
In a video message, the prime minister extended his greetings to all Air Force personnel serving the nation and their families.
He said the exemplary performance of air warriors had inspired Indians and made them feel secure.
Modi said that over the past decade, the latest technologies from across the world had been made available to the Indian Air Force and the country’s armed forces.
“The Air Force is an expert in giving shock to the enemies not only through weapons, but also through data and drones,” he said, adding that every moment of Operation Sindoor had demonstrated the strength of the Indian armed forces.
