30-year-old man dies after lightning strike in Kasaragod

Kasaragod, Oct 7, 2026: A 30-year-old man died after being struck by lightning at Pandi Balavanthadka near Delampady under the jurisdiction of Adhur police station on Tuesday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Naufal, son of Arab and Nafeesa, of Mayilankotta in Uyithadka, Kuntar.
The incident occurred around 7.30 pm when Naufal was visiting his wife’s house at Pandi Balavanthadka. He was rushed to the Mullierya Cooperative Medical Centre, where doctors declared him dead.
Naufal was working at a juice shop in Thiruvananthapuram. He is survived by his wife and two children.
Adhur police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
