Fire fighting personnel organize mock drill at Rosario School

Mangalore, Jan 23, 2012 : The fire fighting personnel organized a mock drill to create awareness on safety measures to be taken in case of fires for the students of Rosario High School and PU College on Jan 23 Monday.

 

 

 

Through a demonstration, they taught students how to escape from burning buildings and also how to rescue people trapped in burning buildings.

Ramakrishna, the SI of Pandeshwar, spoke of the importance of such mock drills.

The fire fighting personnel raised a flexible ladder to the second floor of the building, tied a safety knot around a student, and rolled him down to the ground from the second floor. The mock drill turned out to be a great learning experience for the students.

Fr. Alvin Serrao, the principal of Rosario College of Management Studies, and Aloysius D’Souza, the headmaster of Rosario School, were also present.
