Deepesh Deepak Shenoy Bags State-Level Hoysala Shaurya Award

Udupi, Nov. 30, 2025: Deepesh Deepak Shenoy, a Class 10 student of T.A. Pai English Medium High School, Kunjibettu, has been conferred the state-level Hoysala Shaurya Award for his intelligence, presence of mind and courageous act.

The award was presented on Friday during the ICDS Golden Jubilee celebrations held at Bengaluru Palace Grounds by the Karnataka Department of Women and Child Development. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

The Hoysala Shaurya Award is presented annually to children who demonstrate courage, alertness and quick decision-making in adverse situations. Deepesh is the first student from institutions under the Manipal Academy of General Education to receive this recognition. He has been selected for the 2025–26 award, the school management said in a press release.

The school’s management board and Headmistress Vinoda Shetty congratulated Deepesh on his achievement.
