Mangaluru, May 3, 2026: Bantwal Rural police arrested two persons and seized MDMA worth Rs 42.3 lakh during a raid at Manchi village on Saturday.
The accused have been identified as Mohammed Nizamuddin, 30, and Mohammed Shaheem, 19, both residents of Bolanthoor in Bantwal.

Police intercepted a vehicle near Panjala Cross and recovered 423 grams of MDMA from their possession. Three mobile phones and the vehicle used for transportation were also seized, taking the total value of the confiscated items to Rs 46.2 lakh.
During interrogation, the accused reportedly told police that the narcotic substance had been procured from an unidentified Nigerian national in Bengaluru.
A case has been registered at Bantwal Rural police station under Sections 8(C) read with 20(b)(ii)(C) of the NDPS Act. Further investigation is underway.
