Conference of women police personnel inaugurated

Mangaluru, Feb 25, 2021:      The Annual Conference of women police officers and other women staff of the Police Department  was  inaugurated at the Rama Lakshmi Narayana Convention Hall, Pandeshwar on February 25, Thursday by City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar.  The   meet aims  at helping women cops understand laws  relating to women and children so that such cases could be easily handled by the women officers. A health check-up camp for the participants is also being organised.

Addressing the meeting, the Commissioner said this was the first time that such a conference was organised and said it would go a long way in relieving them of the work related stress and  spend the day leisurely.

The conference also provides an opportunity for the women personnel to interact with other lady cops from various police stations, he said.

Mayor Diwaker Pandeshwar, IAS officer Mona Rawat and others were present.

Various useful sessions are being held as part of the conference and later the women personnel will enjoy a day out at Pilikula along with their women family members and children.
