Superintendent of Police Dr. A. Subrahmanyeshwar Rao said that he was happy to see 85 – 90 trainees, which was a record number, on the first day of the training. He said that similar training programmes will be held for the civilians of Bantwal, Puttur, Sullia, and other places within one week. Interested trainees can submit their applications within a week, he said. The purpose of these programmes is to create awareness among civilians about the police department, he said urging the trainees to spread the message among other people.

Ponnuraj distributed the licenses among the trainees. The police commissioner felicitated the trainers led by Inspector Guruprasad. Deputy Commissioner of Police R. Ramesh made the welcome speech and proposed the vote of thanks. DCP Muthuraya was one of the dignitaries on dais.
