Beary achievers honored at 3rd anniversary of Beary Academy

Mangalore, Jan 22, 2012: Several achievers from the Beary community were felicitated today at Beary Academy: Muru Varsha Sambhrama, an event held to celebrate the third anniversary of the Beary Academy. 

They were honored in appreciation and recognition of their various contributions to Beary language, art, literature, and culture. 

 

 

 

 

 

Insmail Tannirbhavi (drama), Haneef Puttur (art), Khalid Tannirbhavi (music), Aboobakker Baddur (drama), Mohammed Shareef Katipalla (drama), Mohammed Ashraf Apollo (literature), Abdul Hameed Padubidri (journalism), Ahmed Anwar (photojournalist), Zakaria Venur (acting), Mohammed Ali Baddur (acting), Hameed Kannur (music), Ibrahim Bathisha (singing), Abdul Sathar (drama), Rukiya M. Ali (social worker), Mohammed Ali Tannirbhavi (art), Abdul Razak Ananthady (writer), Maryam Ismail (literature), Shaukath Ali (music), and Samir Mulki (music) were all honored with shawls, mementos, and certificates. 

M. B. Abdul Rahman, the outgoing president of the academy, and Rahim Uchil, the new president, were present. 

The guests were B. A. Mohidin, the former minister; G. A. Bawa, the former police officer; Abdul Rahim, the former president of Beary Sahitya Parishad; U. G. M. A. Haq, the retired registrar; Bashir Baikampady; advocate Mohammed Hanif; M. B. Noor Mohammed; Haji G. Abdul Khader Galtamajalu; and Athur  Chayabba.
