Himachal Pradesh, Jan 27, 2026: A heartwarming story has surfaced from Bharmaur in Himachal Pradesh’s Chamba district, where a dog has once again proved his unwavering loyalty towards his owner. In conditions so harsh that even a human being refuses to step out, a loyal pitbull stayed by his dead owner for four days, regardless of spine-chilling cold and inclement weather.

Two young men, identified as Viksit Rana and Piyush, went missing near the Bharmani temple in Bharmaur. They were later found dead after getting trapped in the snow amid extreme weather conditions.

When rescue teams and local villagers reached the spot, they encountered a heartwrenching scene.

The man’s body was buried under layers of snow, but there stood his pet dog, reluctant to leave his side. For four days, the voiceless companion mourned his loss. He neither ate anything nor moved from the place, as if hoping his friend would return to life.

Struggling with biting cold and colossal storms, the dog stood guard, protecting its owner’s body from the wild animals roaming around.
