World Tourism Day observed in Mangalore

Mangalore, Sep 27, 2011: The state department of tourism, the DK district administration, the Mangalore Association of Travel Agents, and the Panambur Beach Tourism Development Project jointly organized a treasure hunt and quiz event as part of World Tourism Day 2011 at City Centre Mall on September 27 Tuesday.
In his address on the occasion, Deputy Speaker N. Yogesh Bhat said that a number of tourism development projects have been launched in Mangalore, adding that the people’s dreams will be realized only with the effective implementation of these projects. He also stated that the state government is working hard to make Mangalore a tourist hub.
Appreciating the efforts to observe World Tourism Day, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and MLA U. T. Khader urged the public to support all tourism development activities.
