Dr. Swathi, Head of the Department of Anatomy, expressed gratitude to the university administration for establishing the advanced facility, noting that it would significantly enhance the teaching and learning of anatomy for medical and health science students.
The centrepiece of the lab is the Anatomage Table, an advanced, life-sized touchscreen 3D anatomy visualisation and virtual dissection system installed at an approximate cost of ₹1.45 crore. The system displays true-to-life three-dimensional human bodies, allowing users to virtually dissect, rotate, and isolate anatomical structures for detailed study without the need for physical cadavers.
Regarded as one of the most advanced educational tools in medical education, the system offers an immersive and interactive learning experience for students of medicine and allied health sciences.
The establishment of this high-tech facility reflects Nitte (Deemed to be University)’s continued commitment to strengthening technology-enabled medical education and enhancing academic excellence.
