Udupi: Four arrested for clash over trivial issue

Udupi, Nov 11, 2025: The Manipal police have arrested four persons in connection with a clash that broke out over a trivial reason at a public place in Ishwar Nagar on the night of November 8.
The arrested have been identified as Amar Shetty, Chandan C. Salyan, Dhanush, and Ajay. According to reports, Chandan, Amar Shetty, Dhanush, Nitesh, Sujan, Ninad, and Ajay were dining together at a bar in Ishwar Nagar when Chandan’s hand accidentally touched Amar Shetty, leading to an argument that soon turned into a physical fight.
A video of the incident went viral on social media. Following a complaint filed by ASI Mohan Das, a case was registered at the Manipal Police Station. Police investigated the matter and arrested the accused, taking further legal action.
