Mangaluru, Apr 29, 2026: To facilitate track maintenance works in the Thiruvananthapuram division on various days, the Railways has announced partial cancellation, diversion and regulation of several train services.
Partial Cancellation
Train No. 16325 Nilambur Road–Kottayam Express, commencing its journey from Nilambur Road on May 14, 21, 26 and June 2, 2026, will be short-terminated at Tripunittura. As a result, the train service will remain partially cancelled between Tripunittura and Kottayam.
Diversion of Train Services
Train No. 16348 Mangaluru Central–Thiruvananthapuram Central Express, departing from Mangaluru Central on May 7, 2026, will be diverted to run via Alappuzha. The train will skip stoppages at Piravam Road, Kottayam, Changanassery, Tiruvalla, Chengannur and Mavelikara. Additional stoppages will be provided at Ernakulam Junction, Alappuzha and Ambalappuzha.
Similarly, Train No. 16344 Rameswaram–Thiruvananthapuram Central Amrita Express, commencing from Rameswaram on May 7, 2026, will also be diverted via Alappuzha. It will skip Kottayam, Changanassery, Tiruvalla, Chengannur and Mavelikara, while stopping additionally at Ernakulam Junction, Alappuzha and Ambalappuzha.
Train No. 16350 Nilambur Road–Thiruvananthapuram North Rajyarani Express, departing from Nilambur Road on May 7, 2026, will also be diverted through Alappuzha. The train will skip Kottayam, Changanassery, Tiruvalla, Chengannur and Mavelikara and will have additional halts at Ernakulam Junction, Alappuzha and Ambalappuzha.
Regulation of Train Services
Train No. 16348 Mangaluru Central–Thiruvananthapuram Central Express, commencing on May 26, 2026, from Mangaluru Central, will be regulated by 40 minutes en route.
Train No. 06014 Madar Junction–Thiruvananthapuram Central Weekly Special, departing on May 2 and 9, 2026, from Madar Junction, will be regulated by 2 hours and 30 minutes en route.
Passengers have been advised to verify train schedules before travel and plan their journeys accordingly.
